BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha reiterate on Wednesday that amnesty would not be included in the ongoing talks on reconciliation between political parties and groupings on one side and the government’s reconciliation committee on the other side.

He noted that amnesty is one of the causes of political conflict and, therefore, the issue will not be discussed.

The prime minister admitted that he didn’t know what to do if some political parties or politicians insisted on the inclusion of amnesty in the reconciliation talks.

PM confirms no amnesty for anybody else in reconciliation talks

Fixed it ;)

He noted that amnesty is one of the causes of political conflict and, therefore, the issue will not be discussed.

 ..........Thus......reconciliation achieved!..........Well done!

Any competent journalist would have raised the question of having granted amnesty to themselves but refusing it to others.

He would have tickled their ears or thrown a banana...maybe even threatened to have them executed.

ummm   lets see

no amnesty--no reconciliation. Thus, the beat will go on and on and on

The first thing he did when he took power was to grant himself and the military junta amnesty for hijacking the country at gun-point.

Great reconciliation plan: "Everyone will reconcile on MY terms, no one else gets a say in how to come together in unity. No amnesty for anyone.... except me, and those I like."

All it is is more BS TIT

There you go with that word competent. Once he pushes the new media bill through the word competent becomes irrelevant. It will become the gospel according to Prayuth.

This is Thailand....you roll your eyes and move on.

Trying is assume that common sense prevails will simply drive you insane

Only two words are needed to describe this oaf.

Both begin with "f" !!!

Far from...

Word of the day today on my dictionary app was: Procrustean.

I think it was appropriate considering what Prayuth is now trying to do on the reconciliation front.

So is he removing the amnesty he granted himself and his friends.

Anyway,  he is already amnestied of deciding not ton amnesty.....

Perhaps he  meant no  amnesty  for those  who are  not present? Being that  those  who have the  balls to remain present and  discuss  reconciliation do not require  amnesty.
