Look at the damage to the car. Yikes.

The car must have been really movin'.

RIP Russian woman.

" The car driver, Lamai Ongkhaloy, 39, waited for police at the scene."

Does not sound Thai to me.

Why should NCC1701A have to brush up on his general knowledge of Thais? Most members here well familiar with Thais and their infamous world road safety record and constantly read where drivers run/stagger away from accidents after speeding and give themselves up a few days later when the booze has gone from the blood. This can especially occur after they have just come from a hotel. Maybe she ate/consumed something at the hotel which caused her to speed  and "faint"?

You also read where many Thai's stop and wait for the police to arrive, the point I was making was running is not consistent with all Thai's so it is unwise to generalise.
