Just asking,my friend permit to stay end on 22/2/17 and I'm going to bkk on 23/2/17.

Can he get another 30 days stay if he go poi pet and come back via land crossing?

He's Singaporean and go bkk by plane last month.

He was told by immigration staff he can only get 7 days.

I thought the new rules said 2 times a year and 30 days each?

Can I get the comfirmation from Joe?

Anything to show to immigration ?

He would get a 30 day visa exempt entry at a border crossing. Poi Pet is not the best crossing to it at though.

Immigration was talking about an extension not at a new entry. He apparently had already done the normal 30 day extension of his visa exempt entry.

Joe,he just in thailand for 20 over days.Not done any re-entry or any extend yet.

So if he leave at which land crossing is the best?For another 30 days.

I think the immigration officer made a mistake. He can get a 30 day extension of his entry.

Perhaps the officer though that a Singaporean gets their visa exempt entries under a bilateral agreement which they do not.

He can get a 30 day extension at any immigration office but needs to have a local address to put on the TM7 application form.
