I am sure that this question has come up before. I would like to know what documents I have to take to Penang to start with. I have been told that I do not need all the proof of income till I go to immigration in my city in Thailand is that correct? Your help would be most grateful.

Penang will want financial proof to get a non-o visa.

If you plan on applying for an extension a singe entry non-o visa is all you need.

Upon what basis would be you applying for the non-o visa.

Penang will want to see 400k baht in the bank or proof of income to issue a multiple entry non-o visa based upon marriage. For a single entry it is 200k baht.

Savannakhet Laos will issue a multiple entry non-o based upon marriage with no financial proof.
