Visa on arrival from Poipet?

Featured Replies

My visa has expired and my stamp is good until March 5th.  I'm leaving to go to Nepal on April 18th.  I have plans on March 4th to be at a wedding near Poipet.  If I do a border run into Cambodia on the 4th, can I get a 60 day visa on arrival back into Thailand there (I'm from the US)?  If so, what is the cost/process? I've never got a visa on arrival and recently heard fees were waived.

Thanks.

You do not qualify for a visa on arrival which only allows a 15 day entry.

You can get a 30 day visa exempt entry at a border crossing. You would need to get a visa on arrival to enter Cambodia that has a fee of $30.

You can extend that 30 day visa exempt entry for 30 days at a immigration office for a fee of 1900 baht.

Only a tourist visa from a embassy or consulate allows a 60 day entry that can be extended for 30 days at a immigration office.

No because they don't exist.

As you are from the US you qualify for free visa exempt entry (no visa), which will give you permission to stay 30 days. You can extend that stay by another 30 days at an immigration office for 1,900 baht, if required.
