BANGKOK: -- The Meteorological Department today warned of atmospheric turbulence in upper region during February 23-26 as cold front is approaching from China to cover the region.

The department issued the warning at 5.00 am saying that atmospheric turbulence is expected in the country as strong cold front is approaching from China to blanket the country’s northeaster region and South China Sea which is covered by warm air mass.

The approach will result in atmospheric turbulence with precipitation and wind gusts in the beginning.

Temperatures in the region will then fall 2-4 degrees, it said.

Affected by the cold front approach include Northeast and East from February 23-25, Lower North, Central, East, Bangkok and adjacent provinces from  February  24-26.

That helps  to explain the  number  of  ants rapidly  relocating nests. Hopefully  it  will result  in unseasonal  but welcome  rainfall. I  can handle  a  2-'4  C  drop in temps. Night temps  have  been quite  extreme of late.
