Govt hosts ASEAN Women Entrepreneur Network Thailand to strengthen female entrepreneurs

 

BANGKOK, 23 February 2017 (NNT) - The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security has hosted the ASEAN Women Entrepreneur Network Thailand - AWEN Thailand to empower female entrepreneurs in driving the Thai economy. 

Assistant to the Minister of Social Development and Human Security Pol Gen Suwat Chanitthikul chaired the opening of the meeting, which was attended by related agencies such as the Business and Professional Women’s Association of Thailand. 

Pol Gen Suwat said the meeting was held to encourage economic cooperation and information exchange in order to support the business potential of female business operators in Thailand and encourage connectivity between ASEAN nations as well as strengthening female entrepreneurs at the international stage. 

Activities include keynote addresses on the role of Thai women in 4.0 industries and a panel discussion of 4.0 industry entrepreneurs.
