Dhammakaya Temple monks discuss with DSI official in front of the temple in Pathum Thani province.

Department of Special Investigation is seeking help from Sangha Council in its latest bid in dealing with controversial  Dhamakaya Temple that has defied the order for the authorities to search the temple.

DSI has attempted several times to enter the temple’s compound in Pathum Thani province to locate the temple’s former abbot Phra Dhammachayo who is under arrest warrants for money laundering and possessing stolen items.

A source did not reveal details of the help DSI is seeking from the Sangha Council, saying  the discussion is underway and the results may be known in a few days.

a better approach

after watching this whole thing unfold over the months I have come to the conclusion that these monks  - temples and men of the cloth actually genuinely believe they should not be answerable to any laws, they really do feel they are above the law and only answerable to some higher authority that nobody quite understands including themselves

I used to have the highest respect for Buddhism but now I am not so sure and not surprised

Smedly believe in yourself there in lies answers to life. I think and I would have to Google this but religion has killed more people than wars. In fact religion is a war to claim so called souls. I think all our ashes will end up blowing in the wind for eternaty with no chance or reassembly
