webfact
Trump mulling immigration bill with pathway to legal status - CNN REUTERS U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House in Washington, U.S., February 26, 2017. REUTERS/Joshua Roberts WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump is considering introducing legislation to provide a pathway to legal status, but not immediately to citizenship, for illegal immigrants in the United States, CNN reported on Tuesday, citing a senior White House official. CNN said the president thinks a comprehensive immigration bill that would allow illegal immigrants to hold a job and require them to pay taxes has a chance of clearing Congress, and it said Trump may refer to the idea of legislation in a speech on Tuesday night. Credo
So, he is looking at an amnesty, much as many of his predecessor have done and which he swore he wouldn't do.

55Jay
Good. Immigration and Illegal Immigration needs a thorough, comprehensive overhaul from physical security at the borders to the full range of administrative, programmatic and constitutional issues. Otherwise it's just Whack-a-Mole.

mike324
What a joke, making an U-Turn again and again. If his supporters actually cheer him on this issue, it would go to show his supporters doesn't have a clue on the policies under Obama.
ilostmypassword
It's useful to remember that in the early part of his campaign Trump said he thought taxes on the rich were too low and he praised universal health care. Back then his supporters were citing that as a reason he was different from standard republicans.
Chicog
There is a Bipartisan Bill sat in Congress somewhere that simply needs to be put to the vote. Boehner refused to allow it, but it strikes me it would save some time.
Usernames
This was another example of fake news. It didn't happen.
