23 Year Old Russian Girl Missing from Koh Tao

A 23 year old Russian girl has gone missing from Koh Tao. Valentina Novozhyonova was staying at the Koh Tao Hostel. It is believed she was planning to leave Koh Tao and go to Koh Samui, she has not been seen or heard from since February 15th. Reports on a Facebook appeal say that the local police found her belongings in her room, they have now taken her phone and passport.

Demonstration held to condemn brutal killing of family in Rueso

New law raises minimum age of smokers to 20 in bid to discourage youths

IN A MOVE to discourage youths from smoking, the National Legislative Assembly yesterday raised the minimum age for young people to buy cigarettes to 20 years old from the current 18 years old.

 

Under the new Tobacco Control bill, anyone who sells cigarettes to under-age teenagers could be jailed for three months or fined up to Bt30,000 or both.
