BANGKOK, 6 March 2017 (NNT) - Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha chaired a meeting with the reform and reconciliation committee, highlighting the committee’s goals and encouraging them to listen to all viewpoints.

Gen Prayut thanked the committee for their commitment to addressing matters of national importance. The country faces numerous longstanding issues, whose solutions require long-term efforts to create a system of awareness and understanding.

He said the meeting aligned with the government’s agenda for 2017 to be the "Year of Reform". All parties must listen to feedback from all sides, regardless of viewpoints.

Meanwhile, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Suvit Maesincee, as secretary to the committee, said the meeting marks the first gathering between the Prime Minister and the 39 committee members.

Each subcommittee will then meet to prioritize their agendas and combine similar or redundant groups before the committee meets again after the Songkran holiday.

As opposed to a democratic system.

Rather to have an awareness and understanding, irrespective of any democratic process that will be allowed in Thailand, of the real power (aka Dark State) that will continue to hold absolute power over the Thai electorate.

Committees upon committees, sub-committees and sub-committees, redundant groups.... Who does any real work!

Think is called going through the motions.  No substantive work has been carried out since January, 2014.  With all this new bureaucracy, they are cutting red tape lengthwise.  It is actually quite comical.  Unaccountable regimes are suppose to be highly efficient, as the decision making process is streamlined.  The good general has been able forge the worst components of an unaccountable government with an elected one.  He will make his mark in history.
