Angkor Air, Air France MoU

Featured Replies

Cambodia Angkor Air and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding to cover component support and maintenance services for the national flag carrier’s fleet of Airbus A320. The 12-year agreement includes full component support services, repairs and maintenance, pool access, and the provision of a main base with local services.

Nguyen Tu Huy, CEO of Cambodia Angkor Air, said this was a long-term agreement with commitment from both parties. “Cambodia is an emerging market for the airline industry with 45 airline companies already operating here,” said Mr. Tu Huy.

“The Cambodian aviation market is growing at 10 percent per annum, and therefore Cambodia Angkor Air will grow as well,” he added.
Mr. Tu Huy said by 2020, the national flag carrier will have 10 Airbus A320 aircraft in its fleet.
“We are delighted with this partnership. Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance was able to convince us with a competitive offering and a service as close as possible to our requirements,” he added.
