BANGKOK: -- Monks and lay followers in Wat Dhammakaya are allowed to perform activities as normal but banned from talking about the legal cases pending against Phra Dhammachayo and other monks.

The gag was ordered by Phra Theprattanasuthee, chief monk of Pathum Thani, following a meeting with Dhammakaya monks at the temple Monday afternoon.

Management of the temple now rests with the acting abbot who will have to report directly to Pathum Thani provincial chief monk.

This restriction will be closely monitored by "Big Brother and members of the Thought Police". Those breaking this rule will be subject to compulsary re-education.

Freedom of speech not here TIT

Looks like it is the Monks edition of section 44.  Thy shall not disclose the truth, only half truths and never ever disclose bank account numbers

The weak point in all Thai edicts is enforcement.

This is about as enforceable as reckless driving laws are on any Thai highway.  As there are no Highway Patrol on the highways to enforce traffic laws, and there are no agents within the temple to enforce that specific edict.
