Ohh great, another one who knows it all....i have this insurance and found it after comparing loads of them. I asked them every question i had and it sounds like the perfect insurance for me...i can stay abroad in any country as long as i like and will always be covered. It's from a huge insurancecompany in W-europe.

That's great! Why not give us a link to the insurance policy in question? I too have looked for a long time for proper insurance at a reasonable rate - it appears you have found it. Show me your policy and I will sign up immediately.

So pray tell who pays the Victim with no insurance the drunks injured..?.

The insurance company will pay the victim, and come to the drunk for the money.

This is typical Thai as it benefits only the insurance companies and not any third parties. In places like England at least they have the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB) which all insurance companies fund so that any uninsured drivers (and untraced) are treated as if insured and any third parties insured and incur losses are paid out to by the MIB. Here they won't get anything if this law is effected and the third party will have to sue the uninsured driver directly and who will probably have nothing to offer. What a travesty of justice where big insurance companies are the winners. I hope this law will just be for the driver who causes the accident losing out but not any third parties but wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't

why talk about Thai drivers only, how many foreigners step in a car and drive home, where ever that is.

same -same.pay the price.
