90 Day Report when traveling In Thailand

Recommended Posts

We are escaping the annual Songkran mayhem in Pattaya and traveling down too Ko Samui on April 11 but our 90 Day report is due on April 17.

Do we report at Chonburi Immigration before we travel or do we try and get into Samui Immigration on April 12 and report our hotel as our residential address (sure this would cause some problems).

Anyone know what we are required to do in these circumstances?

Thanks

Oink

I am sure that you shall report to the place you are going to,

NOT the place you are leaving..

We are not selling our home which has been our registered address for the last eight years, we are just going on a road trip.

Do your report before you leave Pattaya. You can do it up to 15 days early.

A 90 day report can only be done at the office where you got your extension.

Thank you for those wise words

Strange posting..... I read the OP;s post as he is doing a TM28 change of address,, and Ubonjoe you are answering him as he is doing a 90 day report.

Sorry if I both misread and mislead... But still not understand.... is it a change of address OR a 90 day report??

A 90 day report.

Perhaps this confused you. He meant using the hotel address on the 90 day report.

You do like informed by Ubon Joe already, or you do it at the place you stay as there is a rule for making reports on the TM30 within every 24 hour you stay somewhere else.
It´s actually never used due to that it´s hard to prove that you have benn out of your regular zone.
If you make your 90 day report at the hotel where you are staying, you will also have to make a TM30 in the same place. After that you will have to make a new TM30 when you come back at your regular address.
Just for following the rules completely, but it´s just a few that really cares about that.

You are confusing 90 day reports and and doing a TM30 that the hotel should do.

A 90 day report can only be done at the office where you got your extension. To do it at a different office requires a formal change of address and a hotel address would not be accepted.
