A Taiwanese tourist was arrested on Monday night for using a drone camera to film prohibited areas in front of the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh.   Police said the man was questioned by Interior Ministry anti-terrorism police before being educated by officers and later released about midnight.

Mong Pesith, an officer in Daun Penh district, identified the suspect as Tsao Cheng Hsiang, 38, who arrived in Cambodia on March 7.   He said Mr. Tsao was caught using the drone at about 6pm on Monday night. He was filming the garden in front of the Royal Palace and the Mekong River, but had failed to seek authorization from the police.

Mr. Mong said the area in front of the Royal Palace is off limits to photographers. “He was arrested after filming the Royal Palace and the surrounding areas,” the officer said.
