a serious disease outbreak

Featured Replies

should we concerned? a serious disease in pigs [vietnamese pork] across the border, vietnam/camboadia will make its way into thailand.

as pork is the main food here it is worrying that this could happen.

i have not seen any report on the news channels.

Make sure you buy pork from a local Thai pig farm if your worried about, only have to ask Thai people that sell pork.

How do you know then? Ain't nothing google brings up either.

Oh, I got it. Happened to me once too. Not a pig but a dying cow whispered in my ear "My kind has an incurable disease. Stop eating beef." But I was too smart to fall for that. Ain't no 4-legged critter gonna stop me from eating 4-legged critters.

Calm down, it's only salmonella:

http://www.khmertimeskh.com/news/36702/warning-on-vietnamese-pork/

“In Vietnam, they have taken action to curb the bacteria known as salmonella which usually is found in pigs."

Unpleasant enough, but hardly the "T Virus".

Solution?........cook your food properly.

Sure. Go ahead and be concerned. That should improve things.

And in other frightening agricultural news:

thats ok.then i have just taken a bag full[1.5kilo's]of ribs out of the freezer.loads of chilli should kill any bacteria.

marinade overnight then 6hrs.in the oven.

Almost enough to make a person become a vegetarian. With Fukishima circling the world I guess I should buy one of those little hand held geiger counters to check them to.

Walking Dead will bigin in Thailand I guess.

Be prepaired.

Stop murdering and consuming other sentient creatures, problem solved.

The bible instructs us not to eat pork and other scavengers. May be right as pork is full of parasites etc. I love my bacon only eat 2-3 rashers per month and no other pork.

Me thinks....a worryer will always find something to worry about.

If we weren't supposed to eat animals, why did the good lord make them out of meat..

What disease.  Haven't eaten meat in 43 years.  Unless it's pink and still moving...

I like pork, beef, chicken, seafood & fish ....

but all meats should be cooked medium to well with no red inside.

I've never been attacked by a shark while walking through a pasture, although I have stepped in some 100% BS while there.
