As a PR holder, I am required to register at my local police station, and renew registration every 5 years.

 

The only posts on TV that I could find were some 2 years old, (archived) and there were suggestions that registering was no longer done by local police, but somewhere in Bangkok. There were no follow ups.

 

Nevertheless, this morning I went to my local police station. As usual I received a very friendly reception, was given coffee, . gave them by alien book, and my pink ID card.  Forms filled in, and signed, 800baht fee paid, and my somewhat tatty 27 year old book with new photo was duly signed by the sarawat yai.

 

Legal again for a further 5 years :smile:
