Australian ambassador meets Thai army commander

BANGKOK, 24 March 2017 (NNT) - Australian Ambassador to Thailand Paul Robilliard met with Chief of the Defense Forces General Surapong Suwana-adth in a bid promote bilateral cooperation between the two nations. 

Robilliard spoke with Gen Surapong about several military agendas during his visit, while noting that the Thai and Australian armies have enjoyed long and close relations. He stated that cooperation on military training, education and intelligence has been initiated for mutual benefits. The ambassador expressed his wish to see Thai-Australian relations grow further in the future. 

For his part, Gen Surapong expressed gratitude to the ambassador for visiting with him and discussing important issues. He said the Thai military will cooperate with its Australian counterpart, believing it will lay a strong foundation for further bilateral cooperation in the future.

If he had any balls he would suspend all cooperation until he dealt with an elected government. But we are paying his wages while he gets splinters up his arse from sitting on the fence.

A poor diplomatic decision.  He should have visited a charity or something, instead of an organization that causes severe problems.
