Uk Passenger Airline Pilot - Asian Employment Opps?

Featured Replies

Afternoon all,

A friend of mine working in the UK has asked me to do some research on employment prospects in eastern Asia, preferably south east Asia for work as a Commercial Pilot. Hes currently a Captain flying passenger 737's between the UK & Europe, but has a lot of hours in Airbus also.

Does anyone know where the best place for him to look for jobs over here is?

Thx for any advice.

hmmz.. no expat Pilots on TV then? :o

Not sure, but all Asian airlines are striving to have only pilots of their own respective countries...

Last one I know of is Singapore airlines still flying with Western Captains.

And of course there are possibilities in the middle east, especially Emirates (based in Dubai), which is by the way run for a large part by Westerners, with Maurice Flanagan as CEO at the helm...

G,day,

I found this link on PPRuNe pilots web site. Hope it can help your pilot mate,

Cheers n Beers,
