April 5, 20179 yr Missing Phetchabun man found alive after two day search Picture: Sanook PHETCHABUN: -- A Phetchabun man who had been missing for two days sparking a desperate social media hunt has been found alive. He was located at the bottom of a 100 meter deep ravine by a road in the Khao Kor area of the north eastern Thai province, reported Sanook. A badly damaged pick-up was found nearby. Phairat Ratcha-art, was stretchered out of the ravine by medics. He had suffered a suspected dislocated hip and had been unable to move. He was covered in dried blood and exhausted but was otherwise unhurt. Phairat said that he had been on his way to work at Camp Son when he had lost control of his pick-up on a downward stretch of a hill. The pick-up flipped multiple times and he was thrown out. He said he had been unable to move and his calls for help were useless as he was deep in the ravine. He stayed hydrated by taking moisture from a banana tree that was within his grasp. Relatives had earlier mounted a hunt through social media and been out scouring the area. They had even employed the services of a clairvoyant in an effort to locate him. But finally they located him on the route that they suspected he had taken. Phairat was taken to Khao Khor Hospital where he is recovering from his ordeal.
