snoop1130
Deputy rector steps down over asset declaration By Somchai Samart The Nation A deputy rector at Prince of Songkla University has resigned due to the inability to prepare documents in time to meet the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC)’s request for asset declaration, university president Chusak Limsakul said on Thursday. Seventeen deputy rectors served at the southern region’s largest university’s five campuses in Pattani, Hat Yai, Trang, Phuket, and Surat Thani. “The deputy rector didn’t know about this asset declaration requirement before. It’s within the deputy rector’s right to resign,” he added. Following the NACC announcement to require more state officials, including 564 deputy presidents at 84 universities, to declare their assets during April 3 to May 2, Mahidol University’s 13 deputy rectors have stepped down and are currently serving as acting deputy rectors. thesetat2013
seems to me that all these rectors did was say they didn't want the job title to avoid declaring assets. The still have and are actively performing their duties in the same capacity as acting reactors hehe... As I am sure they are still receiving the same salaries as before they stepped down (hehe) from their positions.
