Hello All,

I am USA resident and have been traveling to Thailand and entering by air (Bangkok) on the 30-day exempt scheme visa plan for probably 10 years.  I normally do 5 or 6 trips in a 12-month period with an average stay of 3-5 days. The trips are about a month or two apart. On a few different outbound exist the Immigration Officers appears to be counting the entries exits and number of days.

Question: What is the Immigration Officer counting and why?  Thank you in advance.

When a passport has a lot of stamps, and especially when immigration is not busy, officials have a tendency to scan the passport generally, not looking for anything specific, just anything that might be strange. I rarely use visa exempt entries, but have a fairly full passport, and it happens to me a lot (both incoming and outgoing).

If entering at Suvarnabhumi, I think you should be fine continuing your current path of using visa exempt entries.
