Serious? Where did he drink considering thai men usually slum it.

Another reason to stick with your own breed unless of course it was thai women and I wouldn't pay attention to beer bar girls.

You are very short on details.

Consider all factors, in with a hiso hustle team,  collections will appear... Check your safety...  Learn the lesson, keep the piece of mind...   or does he want to experience the situation up close and personal.

It is his call, he knows these people?  Ask him this, is your piece of mind worth it...

You never know... he is not on home tuff...

Best of luck to your pal

thx for replying - I believe this was thro golf and betting large sums of money

on each hole -apparently  he misunderstood the sums involved

-was their response just bluster ?-thx

It's unlikely he will be blocked from entry unless they have really powerful friends.

However there may be visits from collection "agents" with less-than-subtle methods if he owes significant sums of cash.

Blacklisting even in Thailand requires due process. I doubt they can. However they can ask for "their" money thru unconventional means as mentioned by Crossy.

In future steer clear of this type of interaction with locals.
This includes befriending local law enforcement officers
