Dear all,

I do realize that this topic has been discussed to death already on ThaiVisa, but I have a bit more specific question that I hope to get some inputs for.

I am currently exploring the different options of having a single dental implant done, and as Dr. Warin in Pattaya has been highly recommended on Thaivisa, I sent him a mail.

I was quoted 35000 Baht from him, including everything. Compared to other places that I have asked, this price seems amazing, and almost a bit too good to be true.

Anyone here have any personal experience getting dental implants by Dr. Warin and can share their experience?

For references, he uses the MIS implant system and zirconia crowns.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Find out specifically what company makes the implant , there are about 4 top companies with Strumann leading the way . With that said now there are close to 1000 companies manufacturing them most coming from China and places like Korea . You get what you pay for and the long track records of some of these companies and designs is starting to make things very clear . If and implant fails ( and many do over time even the top ones ) it is a nightmare that is challenging to convey . Save money on cars or rent or what every you can but I would advise not to take shortcuts with dental implants and bone graphs . Please report back to us on what brand of implant and abutment this price get you and the manufacture of the all ceramic crown ( Emax or Lave 3m the top ) I look forward to reading your reply after you ask this comic point blank these questions and specific brand of implant , abutment and all ceramic crown if it even and all ceramic crown .

I preferred to have my implants done by someone who specialises in this rather than someone who also does a lot of regular dentistry. I dont regret my decision. Mine cost 40,000B each at Phyathai Sri Racha. At the very least I would get several opinions/quotes before doing anything.

I find that in Thailand the choice of person is often more important than anything else, as competence levels and ability vary wildly.

Thank you for all your answers. I have sent Dr. Warin a mail and asked him for the specifications of materials, brands etc. Will share here when I receive a reply.

@KittenKong If you have time and do not mind, can you share the name of the doctor at Phayathai who did your implants? I am currently corresponding with them and they seem professional, so might good with them since most people seem to have had a good experience with them.

Thanks again for all the help

I'm away for Songkran so I dont have the details with me. Try contacting Gavin Waddel who is their international sales rep. Details on their website. I think they only have the one lady implantologist.

I have rang Phyathai hospital and they quoted 45,000 up, tried ringing Dr Warin in Pattaya but it still seems to be closed for Songkran.

Mine were done a couple of years ago, so the price may well have increased since then.

I not see one brand mentioned , this might explain why most implantologist can use and companies implant and customer is clueless about what is being implanted in the bone . The marketing from the dentist or clinic is all about price I guess .

as for my teeth: No (cost) experiments whatsoever - also in Th. you get what you pay! My experience with Dental Hospital BKK (pre, main, after-service) is perfect and the expert work / high class materials justify a price which is definitely higher than those Pattaya places
