LONDON (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Theresa May called on Tuesday for an early election on June 8, saying the government had the right plan for negotiating the terms of Britain's exit from the European Union and she needed political unity in London.

Taiwan extends visa-free visits for Thai passport holders for another year

Thai Trade and Economic Office Taipei has recently decided to extend visa-free visits to Taiwan by holders of Thai passports for another year as of August 1, 2017 until August 31, 2018.

French tourist delighted to get stolen smartphone back

Prayut to invite Mideast investment in EEC during visit to Bahrain

Tourists’ spending during Songkran 14% higher than last year

Overall spending by Thai and foreign travellers during the Songkran holiday period from April 11 to 17 topped an estimated Bt45 billion, 14.4 per cent higher than in last year’s festive season, Tourism and Sports Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul said on Tues.

Two people in this car survived a high-speed impact into a power pole on Saturday (Apr 15).

 

PHUKET:-- The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM-Phuket) has reported today (Apr 18) that Phuket suffered four road deaths during the Songkran Festival’s “Seven Days of Danger” road-safety campaign.

PHUKET:-- A national park officer stationed near Phi Phi Island has been charged for fraud and – according to police – confessed to pocketing cash payments by reusing already paid entry tickets to the park.
