GENEVA (Reuters) - Progress has been made in tackling diseases that blind, disable and disfigure millions of poor in tropical areas each year, but drug companies need to step up donations of medicines, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Wednesday.

PHUKET: -- The new Chalong Hospital, which has been under construction since mid-2016, is now “50- 60%” complete, Dr Lersak Leenanithikul, the head of emergency department at Vachira Phuket Hospital, has confirmed.

PHUKET: -- A runaway Phuket tour bus that was left parked and unattended after dropping off Chinese tourists at a jewellery store rolled some 80 metres before crashing into a parked pickup truck, which shunted a motorbike and then crunched into tables set up in front of a merit-making supplies shop in Chalong yesterday afternoon (April 18).

The plaque was found to be missing last week, and a new one installed in its place with different wording.
