Bangkok bank and Bank of Thailand need to update their websites.

 

Tomorrow Friday is not now a bank holiday (Coronation Day).  This was reported by the Bangkok Post - 'Two new annual public holidays 11 Apr 2017. Cabinet on Tuesday approved two new annual public holidays commemorating royal events, and cancelled  another. 

 

The new public holidays are: July 28 - His Majesty the King's birthday; Oct 13 - The passing of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX). Colonel Taksada Sangkhachan, assistant government spokeswoman... 

Colonel Taksada Sangkhachan, assistant government spokeswoman said the cabinet also resolved to scrap the Oct 9, 1957 cabinet resolution that declared Coronation Day, May 5, a public holiday.    

 

And there are other banks.....

No need to panic, the Boom Boom Me bar closure/holidays website is fully up to date!

Seems like some are observing this holiday for one last time (2017)?

 

My neighbors who work at banks, and the MoE, went to work this morning, but traffic seems unusually light for a rainy Friday?

 

I think the SET is open today?

 

But it is a bit confusing,
