I was going to say Liverpool , then I remembered that they won the League cup about 12 years ago , so, it cannot be them

Aren't Huddersfield a bit like Liverpool ?

Quite good about 100 years ago 

Sure Huddersfield won the first division three times in the 1920's

Huddersfield have 3 stars on their shirts for the 3 consecutive 1st Div titles in the 20s.

No idea I just know there's a pub named after him by the arsenal ground so I thought it might be worth a shot.
