This morning's BKK Post (or, maybe it was The Nation) had an excellent review of two new restaurants that are in Baan Silom: Mezza (for Chinese) and Dao Vien (Vietnamese). Baan Silom is a new courtyard shopping area that is almost next to the Holiday Inn (Silom). There are a lot of shops and several restaurants in this new project. Also, there is valet parking. I'll try it after the new year. Has anyone here tried either place? I drove over there today and it looks very inviting.

Thanks for a new Vietnamese restaurant. They wife was asking for a new venue. I certainly could use a new Chinese joint for business dinners. Much appreciated corkscrew.

Hope we can see some post from people who have already been guests at either. Like you say "after New Year" is about the soonest I could even go and check them out.
