BANGKOK: -- A high speed chase ensued in Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok after an accident happened near the end of Soi 81.

A Honda Jazz had rear ended another car and police had already arrived. But seeing as it was the rush hour they asked both drivers to get back in their cars and move out of the way of traffic, reported Daily News.

That is when the driver of the Jazz took off. He collided with a motorcycle taxi rider in the soi who was taking a boy to school nearly causing them to come off.

A side window of the car was smashed.

The soi has many intersecting lanes and the car managed to get away from chasing police.

But Phrakhanong cops said they know the identity of the driver and are issuing a summons.

They would not comment on reports that there were illegal items in the car in question, reported Daily News.

Just a thought, but it might actually help things if cops had red lights and sirens on their bikes.

Actually, I think there's enough private bikes with flashing lights.....besides...locals don't take much notice of all that stuff.

Filming the chase with using a smart phone...

Only steering with one hand...

Safety first..

Rather looks like it was Motorcycle Taxi  blokes who were actually doing the chasing?

Yeah, you gotta watch out for those mototaxi guys. lol

Muppets.

Oh yeah and don't bother going to arrest this fugitive, just 'issue a summons', i.e. politely request that he report to his local police station.

Amazing Thailand.
