* Are there any Axa Reps in Korat that actually come to the scene of an accident

* Where would i find AXA Korat

* Is it true that once your car is 10 yrs old you no longer can get 1 st class insurance

I ask this because i am currently with Viarah (Thai company ) & dont think i had the true first class insurance in the first place - Paying 15,000 bht & claimed once (as far as i know) for a minor front end bump in which the panel was slightly pushed out of alignment & only got halve a job done which was to just put new screw on parts on since the repairer didn't have a hydraulic pulling machine

A few companies will offer 1st class if you have had it for several years.  My vehicle is now 8 years old and SriMan com local office say they will continue for another 14 years and after about 6 yers it will reduce from the 10000 to 5000.

Many will not insure older vehicles 1st class and you have to find a new company.

As far as the work goes if you were not satisfied you should have said so then.  Virha is about the best company.  Panels now are not repared they are replaced.  This is because they are thinner than they used to be so panel beating is not effective and also as they are part of designed crumple zones to ensure passenger safety.

Unfortunately I was out of the country & my wife signed of on it & i know they don't fix panels because thats all they did - just slapped on what they thought was damaged & left the bonnet with a tiny dint in it on the edge & you can tell it all out of alignment by a few mm

I have had AXA First Class Insurance with a 5000 THB Deductible for many years and my car is now 12 years old. I believe they

will not insure your car with first class after 8-9 years old, but they will continue to cover first class if you have no lapses. Never

had accident, but great service from the AXA Office staff. PM me if you have any specific questions.

 

I usually go through an insurance broker who makes me an offer from 4-5 different insurance companies. This is easier than just choosing one. It shows you better how they compare. So far I never had any problem with those companies. After every year before the insurance policy expire, I claim all the scratches and small things and get it repainted/fixed.
