Chinese jets intercept U.S. radiation-sniffing plane, U.S. says

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Two Chinese SU-30 aircraft carried out what the U.S. military described on Thursday as an "unprofessional" intercept of a U.S. aircraft designed to detect radiation while it was flying in international airspace over the East China Sea.

Cabinet to decide on 8,792 additional civil-servant nursing positions

BANGKOK: -- The Public Health Ministry will ask the Cabinet next week to approve an additional 8,792 positions for civil-servant nurses.

 

Public Health Minister Dr Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn said on Friday that the positions had already been approved by the committee governing the government workforce.

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Swedish prosecutors said on Friday they would drop a preliminary investigation into an allegation of rape against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange on Friday, bringing to an end a 7-year legal stand-off.
