American with child

Featured Replies

Do I apply for the non o visa in Thailand or America. I have a son and I work in America for 5 to 6 months a year before it wasn't a problem because I was married now we are getting divorced I still want to spend 6 to 7 months with him.

Do I say I live at his grand mothers since that is where he is going to school.

Copy of house book and birth certificate are not a problem.

I read online at the immigration website there are only 60 day visas for this I want a 1 year visa. does anyone know how I do this I am his sole financial support I have proof of that going back 2 to 3 years.

I went to the websites from what I found thai immigration in Los Angeles doesn't issue multiple entry non o visas it is done in Thailand so what visa do I apply for.

The websites are pretty outdated with conflicting information.

You can get a multiple entry non-o visa at the embassy in DC or one of the consulates in New York, Chicago or Los Angeles.

Not sure where you read the visa can only be done her on the consulate website. See: http://www.thaiconsulatela.org/service_visa_detail.aspx?link_id=34

A multiple entry non-o visa would allow unlimited 90 day entries for a year from the date of issue.

You could apply for a one year extension of stay at immigration based upon being the parent of a Thai. You would need 400k baht in a Thai bank or proof of 40k baht income. You would need proof your child was living with you.
