UBJ and other experts; could you craft a visa/immigration primer ?

Featured Replies

basics; example: difference between O and OA....

Seconded.

It would be a huge help navigating the immigration/visa morass. Put it up on Thai visa or sell it on Amazon Kindle ($2-$5 deals where the author gets a decent slice of proceeds instead of the usual pittance) and get compensated for your effort.

truly sorry dont understand our post   am i the only one ?

you mean something like This???

I read it and it's pretty much a pile of crap, but the differences between kind of visas are clear.

I think it would need to be in the form of an app that asks questions like

  • your nationality;
  • your age;
  • whether you have a Thai wife and/or children;
  • purpose of visit to Thailand, for instance whether you intend to work in Thailand (this could be in the form of a selection list);
  • how long you intend to stay in Thailand;
  • where you are currently living;
  • where you intend living in the future in Thailand, and type of accommodation;
  • etc.

The app would then be able to give you reasonably succinct advice. Unfortunately, there is just too much necessary detail to wade through if trying to outline every reasonably common situation. Some way like the questions above to cut out 95% of the details is essential to allow the relevant information to become clear.
