Purely from the member database: November 20, 2002.

Founder "george" opened his account and a couple others jumped in on this day.

Not too many from 2002 "survived" up to now.

Exceptions apply.

Just saw one joined November 22, 2002 with content count of below 300 and been online today.

 

I sometimes look at the old posts and issues and gripes and whines are much the same as they are now. Moderation seemed a lot more lax then but the longevity of the site shows they must be doing the right things. 15 years is not much in the general scheme of things; though technology is like a galloping horse now.

When I joined in 2004, SBK was just a regular member. Doctor Patpong was the most famous mod back then.

yes i had no agenda when i asked my name and join date got highlighted with cursor at 2005 and whilst i expected many others earlier i didnt actually find any over course couple days

remember the sms facility care of the forum that was a first i recall anywhere  ??  being able to sms back to uk online i think for 2p rather than big roaming costs back then

Strange, your profile says you joined 23 February this year.

I remember TV first time  in Dec 2004 , I first came here looking for news of my friends who were lost after the Tsunami .  But I joined the forum much later.

Was that due to the very high median age of forum members and they have now "moved on" to a better place?

I stumbled upon thaivisa in August 2003 not long after I moved to Thailand...just wantin' some info and trine t'mind me own business...

 

but then I got bushwhacked by the existing forum hooligans...I was unarmed and unprotected, but I fought back...

 

and now look where it's got me...I should've fled when I had the chance...
