I have a Triple entry Non O visa issued at Savannakhet (married to a Thai),I have to do a in and out by the 26th May,and thinking can do it myself in our car.

What is the nearest border crossing from Bangkok, and if so can I do an in and out rather than stay a night. As hassle free as possible.

Thanks in Advance

Is there actually a 3 on the visa where it says number of entries, or is there an M?

I assume you have a multiple entry non-o visa that allows unlimited 90 day entries for a year from the date of issue. Non immigrant visas are only issued as single or multiple entries.

The nearest crossing to Bangkok is the Ban Phu Nam Ron crossing to Myanmar in Kanchanaburi province. The fee for the crossing is 950 baht that includes transport across no man's land and 500 baht for the Myanmar border pass.

You can do an out and back on the same day.

Yeah it is mate, thank you, do you know if it's a full page visa or a stamped ? As watched a video of an English couple and looked like a stamp. Also my Thai wife is coming for a day out, Any idea if she can come over with me, guessing she would pay less

You only get entry and departure stamps for Myanmar. There no visa needed just a border pass.

I think you wife will pay the same price as you do.

I assume you are asking about doing a crossing for a new 30 day visa exempt entry. They are not allowed as far as I know at Ban Pu Nam Ron. Mae Sai and Rayong allow them at this time.

No problem to do one at any crossing  to Myanmar if you have a valid Thai visa for re-entry.

Take your wife with you for the drive but don't bother taking her across the border as there is nothing at all to see ( just a few primative buildings for Burmese officials) and if everything goes well you will only be gone 40 minutes.

I leave my wife on the Thai side where she can get a coffee or a snack, even a few shops springing up there now. Also a Thai temple on the hill with modest views.

Check out YouTube as there are videos of the place somewhere.
