I am going to get  next week the extension of my Non Imm O visa

In the past I traveled so much that I always applied at this day for a multiple re-entry visa which is always valid for one year

Now I do not travel any more except that I plan one trip abroad in August and I wonder if I should already apply for that single re-entry visa (to avoid making the trip to Imm a second time)

If I get this re-entry visa will it be valid long enough (one year?) or will they write the dates for the single re-entry visa as I applied for on the application form so that I could not travel earlier or later if I needed to change my planning.

A single re-entry permit (it is not a visa) will be valid for entry until your extension ends or you use it. The dates you put on the application form are not on the re-entry permit.
