BANGKOK: -- A man dressed as an ordinary office worker was caught on CCTV stealing a computer notebook belonging to a Chula university student.

People online who saw the footage recognized the man in glasses as someone who stole another computer from a coffee shop at The Esplanade, Rachada, two years ago, reported Daily News.

This time he waited until the owner of a bag containing the 30,000 baht machine went outside then casually made off with her possession.

The theft happened at a Chula coffee shop near the medical school on the uni campus on Tuesday afternoon.

Stupid girl leaving valuables unattended, I suppose she felt safe as she assumed everyone was Thai :)

well ,   most times it would be safe .... I've often left objects on the table to go to the counter of coffee shops ... but I do watch the table all the time ..

also, wouldn't he need a password to open Windows  ??

It is the Notebook that is of value to the thief, not the data... just format the disk and reinstall the operating system.... probably a quick 15-20,000 baht return for a couple of hours "work"

Never met a Thai who trusted another Thai as far as they could throw them.
