You paint a flattering picture of expats and tourists sitting on barstools, amusing themselves with the misfortune of others.

Well there are plenty of other diversions in town but this one is cheap.

Pattaya would be a nice place if not for the tourists!!

Much of Pattaya's water supply is done with steel piping. That piping is reaching its end of life. The water company come and dig up the road replace the leaking pipe and then make an awful job at repairing the road surface. In my neighborhood there are many potholes; the result of poorly done road repairs. This is not just normal wear and tear it is a self inflicted wound; the result of poor workmanship.

One of the roads that connect 3rd road with Buakhao is equally atrocious, the one north of what the Thais call soi 'Big 7(11)' around LK I think, have to be careful when taking shortcuts through there not to splash the masseurs lining the streets with water from the potholes

Maybe they can take a look at Chaiyapoon also.  Although it is a slower traffic Soi, still a horror to get through.

But, I bet not.

same story every year...oh sorry same same but different
