Nigerians Cocaine traffickers get life terms

TWO Nigerians were jailed for life yesterday for trafficking more than a kilo of cocaine from the United Arab Emirates to Cambodia. Okafor Ifeanyi Anthony, 36, and Adibe Paschal, 35, swallowed the drugs and tried to enter the country through Phnom Penh International Airport.
 

Interior Ministry anti-drug police arrested them at the airport in May last year. X-rays of their abdomens showed several packages, which were passed after police fed the pair milk and papaya.
 

Sarey Botrsatya of the anti-drug police said 70 tablets of cocaine weighing a total of 1039 grams were recovered. During their trial at Phnom Penh Municipal Court last month, the two admitted their guilt but denied being drug traffickers.
