Udon police arrest "tom" who conned locals out of 5 million baht in Facebook work scam Image: Daily News Police in Udon Thani have announced the arrest of a local woman who ripped off people by promising them work opportunites in Australia, South Korea and Japan.Kittiya Musikpan, 30, - described by Daily News as a "tom" - was arrested after she set up a Facebook page offering study and work visas to the three countries.Taken into evidence were 23 passports, ten fake stamps and six account books. The suspect was arrested at the Thap Thong apartment building in Soi Phromprakai in downtown Udon.Kittiya was charging up to 100,000 baht to arrange the trips. But the victims got nothing in return. Losses are thought to be in the region of five million baht with dozens of victims.Manoo Maekmork said that Kittiya was arrested on a warrant issued by the Udon court earlier.Daily News said that Kittiya was using her ill-gotten gains to lavish money on other women to the tune of 10,000 baht a day.She had been charged with fraud and detained.
