Does anyone know what is happening with the ice rink in central world? Is it going to be re opened. or are there any other ice rinks around?

I don't know whether the ice rink at central world will reopen or not but I have seen another ice rink at Big C, Lad Prao. I must admit it didn't look too good as there were a couple of centimetres of water all over the surface when I saw it.

Insufficient cooling capacity would be my guess.

I have never seen it happen elsewhere, even Hongkong, where the climate is similar.

Think there will be a new one in 'Esplanade' on ratchada. I saw signs and advertising for it inside the other day.

As it happens I went ice skating on Xmas day. The place was over in Bangna area, I think it was called Imperial Mall or something like that. 150 baht including skate hire. Excellent ice - not slushy at all. Boots are pretty uncomfortable though
