Goodbye kiss spurs concern for dog belonging to Myanmar drug suspect

SATTAHIP: -- A five-month-old dog has appeared in the news after his Myanmar owner gave it a goodbye kiss on Saturday as he was arrested for alleged drug trafficking.

 

The goodbye kiss was so emotional that people have asked authorities in Chon Buri’s Sattahip district what will happen to the dog. 

 

The dog apparently lived in a ramshackle house with its owner in forest zone so if the owner is locked up, the dog would be left alone. 

 

Sattahip district chief Noraset Sritapasso also expressed concerns for the dog and ordered a team to fetch it. 

 

“It looked depressed when our officials found it at the house on Sunday. Now, we have put it under our care at least until someone is willing to adopt it,” Sattahip deputy district chief Apiwat Saleewan said on Sunday.
