Renew of retirement visa early

Featured Replies

Is there somehow due to special circumstances in home country regarding Inheritance, settlement of estate mortgages and sale of real estate any possibility to renew a retirement visa (extension) as long as 2 months before the existing extension expire?

Thanks

Standard rules are 30 days in some offices and 45 days in others.

But policies change over time.

Two months would be exceptionally early and, no, there is no official rule about granting a very early extension based on your reasons.

What you CAN do is gather the proof of your reason, visit your local office, and ASK them for an exception. No guarantees.

There is nobody here that can tell you for sure whether they will say yes or not. My guess is it would be no, but I do think it's definitely worth asking.

Another thing that you give more credibility and urgency to your request is if you're going to travel whether they say yes or not, book your airline ticket and show them that as solid proof of your need. That's the standard way of showing need for an early application.

You could try. Having a ticket to show would help.

So you got the long version and the short version with basically the same answer. :coffee1:
