Pattaya Fiber Internet View Talay 1 or ViewTalay 2 ? Can you get it ? Or how fast is your ADSL ?

Hello,

A friend wants to rent a room at Viewtalay 1 or viewtalay 2 Pattaya, but he needs very fast internet, 20mbps at least.

If you are living there can you tell me if you get fiber internet ? Or if you get standard adsl can you tell me what is your speed ?

If you get fiber, can you tell me which provider ? Tot, 3BB, AIS ? Any else ?

Thank you.

No the interenet companies will not install fiber in the older condo blocks.

The speeds available on good old copper wire are fine for streaming TV etc

What's he doing setting up a boiler room?

Last I checked TMN Cable will install fibre internet in View Talay 2A.  But, my own experience with TMN fibre was that its 20/7 and 30/10 plans were slower than my 3BB 18/1.8 ADSL plan for overseas sites.

They may, but it depends entirely on what arrangement they can come to with the building, and that rather depends on the technical knowledge and motivation of the committee and management.

I find that in older buildings any fibre service is generally more likely to be supplied by a cable TV company that is already present in the building, such as Sophon and TMN already mentioned.

Thank you but hardly faster than adsl ?

The full fibre packages near the bottom of the scan are faster than any ADSL or VDSL service. But they are also a lot more expensive. With that pricing structure I think I would rather get two VDSL supplies from two different suppliers and a load-balancing router. That should provide both reasonable speed and some redundancy for not too much monthly cost.

What would do the load balancing router ?
