You are using gasohol as that is the only gas sold in all of Thailand.

That includes PTT, Caltex, Shell and more.

If the pump attendant told you that he sells gas with no alcohol content he is or lying or humoring you.

A Thai calls all gas benzene.

95 and 91 have both an alcohol content of 10% and is widely sold.

E20 = 20% alcohol content and easy to find.

E85 = at the moment difficult to find as most pumps are located in Bangkok.

So why it is called 95 and 91 but not E10 ?

What is the octane of E20 ?

Again, you are wrong. It was the 91 Benzine that was phased out. 95 benzine is still available in some stations.

See EPPO web page for types and prices of fuel sold in Thailand

http://www2.eppo.go.th/retail_prices.php

(95 Benzine is 'ULG 95 RON'

You are correct, I put 95 (yellow)Benzine in just the other day, PTT, they also had the orange 95 Gasohol pump.

Again, there exist in Thailand no, as you call it, benzine.

All gasoline sold here is gasohol, E10,20,85.

Few years allready.

I use "gasohol crap 91", after the 95 benzene got fased, out in a 27 year old car which still has a carburetor.

No problems.

Well I can still buy it , so you are wrong, Caltex and PTT sell it where I live..

Yes, I am wrong, sorry.

After asking PTT by e-mail did they assure me that gasoline 95 is still sold at their PTT gas pumps.

Only that I or my Thai wife never see or saw it sold at any pump station.

When asking the attendants answer allways is "no have".

Oh well, TIT.

I was wrong in posting about gasoline 95 not sold.

According to PTT head office gasoline 95 is still sold.

The number in E20 or E10 is the percent of alcohol in the gasoline so it is either octane 95 or 91 with 20% alcohol (ethyl) added.

E20 is  95.

E10 is 91 and 95.

You should email PTT for confirmation.

No,I did not as I or my wife can not find a station where it is sold.

I guess it's only in BKK where it is sold.

Where I live there are 2 PTT gas pumps + a Esso pump and neither one is selling the stuff.
