Stayed at Alan's place a few times in the past and I wonder if any 'locals' can confirm that he's still open for business?

 

If not, can you suggest a 'no frills' room to get my head down for a couple of nights in Jomtiem area.

Yep, it's still closed.  Every once in awhile I see construction work being done.  The sign is still up but no customers.  The perimeter glass panels have been removed.  No idea why, perhaps new owner or remodeling?  Your guess is as good as mine.

Hope.it re-opens as it one of my go to for a Breakfast places.
