May 5, 200422 yr Never been to PP before so I might do my next visa run there soon, anyone been recently and recommend a hotel in the B1000 range, looked at the Walkabout, seems OK.Something quite on the waterfront. Also the cheapest flight I've found so far is B9000 with Bangkok Airways,Thai is quoting B12000. Any help is appreciated.

The walkabout is a dump mate, the bar is like an outback abbo bar in Tennant Creek - a bunch of clicky ######s as well........ The Hawaii Hotel is OK and the Kiwi Bar across from it has great food - nice Kiwi guy who owns it - Bob I think, is his name... The Hawaii is located near all of the going out type places and the central market area.. I also did a visa run to Cambodia a couple of years ago, The Thai Embassy was the worst I have ever come across - very rude, unhelpfull - I lost the plot in there and flew back to Bangkok, then to Hadyai and went over to Penang..... Cambodia is the ###### of the world mate - unless you are a kiddy fiddler (I am not suggesting YOU are), why would anyone want to go there???? Cambodian expats are the lowest class expats I have seen any where in the world - every two headed guy on this planet is there.
May 11, 200422 yr Author Penang it is then, did a fair bit of reseach on P.P.,can't be bothered with all the hassle, nice couple of quiet days drinking guinness in Georgetown will do me fine. Also I like these agents that go and get the visa for you, they tell what you can get and what not.
