Jaijai
Hello ! I’ve been training muay thai for two years and I want to take it to the next level. I’m now planning on going to Thailand to train. I’d like to stay as long as possible, at least a year. So the best option seems to be the ED Visa. Do you know of any serious training camp who can provide it ? Is there a list on internet somewhere ?
Kohsamida
I am a black belt in Shorin Ryu (Okinawan karate) and made an extensive search for ANY martial arts dojos or camps in Thailand that were accredited by the Ministry of Education to offer an ED Visa, and sadly there was only one. It's a Muay Thai "school" in Bangkok but I kind of have my doubts that it's a serious training camp. Of course I may be incorrect in that assumption. You could check it out at http://www.mastertoddy.com There are however great Muay Thai training camps here in Chaing Mai. The one I know most about is Lanna and they are legendary. https://www.facebook.com/Lanna-MuayThai-135464199806574/ Lanna does not offer a visa but you can get a ED Visa by participating on weekends at Hand-To-Hand Combat School, also in Chiang Mai, and here is the link to their school. https://hand2handcombat.com/ Note: You have to pay 33,000 baht (about $1,000) for enrollment to H2H which includes the 1 year visa. BTW, they teach Krav Maga, and they are pretty good at it too! Hope that's useful to you or anyone else wondering about this.
Tingnongnoi
As far as I know you will only get a 3 month single entry for Muaythai and it is a Non Imm B not ED, the gym has to be a registered buisness
